We are thrilled to be able to offer those working in a birth-related field, or those wishing to begin, the opportunity to train to be a certified facilitator for She Births workshops! This course was designed to be completely done by correspondance! Here is an overview of the course and how it works:

The She Births Facilitator Training Course (SBFTC) is comprised of 3 main sections:

This section will be primarily an in-depth read-through the book, where you will answer some of the journaling questions in the book,
along with other questions specifically made for those in the SBFTC. The questions will be sent as separate pages, and are part of what I will review for the course,
so it can save you from writing in your personal copy of the book.
This section has one phone call between us, so I can get to know your experience and personal Birth Beliefs….

Exploring other Authors writing, Internet resources, and other external sources pregnant women get information from.

This section is kind of like an information treasure hunt, where you are asked a variety of questions and you need to find answers and name resources.
This section will require a short comparative book review between our book, and a mainstream pregnancy book of your choosing.
This section has one phone call, so I can find out what your experience has been while out doing this research.

Learning the workshop format, exercises, marketing suggestions.

           This section is where the training for conducting workshops gets very tangible.
      You will be given handouts, descriptions of exercises and their objectives, and
       a host of info about workshop format and design, so that you can customize
      your workshops to suit each group you work with. The final exam consists of a
      “staged” workshop, where you lead a group of people (doesn’t matter who-could
      be any mix of people…as long as they don’t mind pretending to be pregnant ladies!:) ) in a short workshop,
and video tape the class for me. (Or record it on digital-and email it!.) You will also be required to have 2 women attendees fill
      out an evaluation sheet, which needs to be sent directly to me from them, and
      I then give you a written evaluation of your workshop, suggestions for
      Improvement, and your strongest points. Once this is completed, you will receive
      Your contract to sign, and then your: certificate, invitation to be a book
       Reseller, and a wholesaler opportunity from Bloomin' Belly Soaps (www.bloominbellysoaps.com) (optional)! And then VOILA! You’re “in business”.:)

Here's how it works: You will receive the first set of Chapter questions, and after you fill them out and send it back, I will review your answers, and return it with my comments and the next set of questions. The course can be taken through email or snail mail, (the extra fees for snail mail help cover postage costs) and is
designed to be challenging, encouraging, and FUN!

 

This training course also includes tips and suggestions for setting up your own business teaching women the Truth about Birth and the importance and significance of natural Birth. What an honor to be able to empower women! Currently, we have women studying or teaching in the US, Canada, South Africa,
and Greece-
but there are many areas still uncovered-so this is an excellent opportunity to become the first in your area!

This training is very experiential so be prepared for unusual assignments and exciting excercises!!

I do not believe in requiring "Dues" from facilitators, so this fee is a one-time only fee!

"Snail Mail" Course is: $435.00/individual $510/sponsorship level

(Sponsorship levels help us cover the cost of training women who cannot financially afford the training fees.)

1) Materials-aside from the required reading or videos that are required viewing. (You may borrow, rent, or purchase these items.)
2) Training in all the exercises and concepts in the book
3) A signed copy of the book (snail mail) or a PDF copy of the Book for Email Students-for your studies
4) An invitation to become a reseller of the book
(you make a profit on each sale!)
5) Email and/or phone support
6) Free Updates to the workshop
7) All handout materials for you to use in your own workshops
(You get one copy of each, and make copies for your classes)
8) Free referrals by me! Whenever I am contacted by an expectant mom,
I refer her to the Facilitator closest to her!
9) A certificate stating that you are certified to present the
concepts in the book-.:) Yes, another certificate for your wall!

Your commitment?

Time Commitment: The Correspondance Course can be done at your own pace,
as long as it is completed within 6 months. To give you an idea of the time commitment, at 10 hours a week,
the course could potentially be completed in less
than 3 months. I know that people in the birthing community can be
extremely busy, so I'm allowing for lots of extra time.

NOTE: We now require a goal "finish by" date approximately 6 months from your start date.
Aside from any unusual circumstances, additional months are billed
at $50 each additional month for admin fees.

Payment Plans:

With the new lower-price, we no longer offer payment plans.

3) Because women are such great resources, if you have a talent or something you'd like to offer a barter exchange
for up to 1/2 the cost of the course, send us your idea!

We don't take every barter, since it's really only a worthwhile
exchange if both parties benefit-but we DO review each "pitch" individually and consider each one carefully.

3) Scholarships: If you would like to apply for a scholarship, please contact us to request an application.

Once you have your certification, and are approved to teach workshops,
you will be asked to sign a contract with the following commitments:

1) Once a month reporting-I need to keep track of your progress, and
know how many workshops you are doing each month, and how many
participants attend. They will also be asked to fill out a comment
sheet-a minimum of 3 comments will be required for each workshop.

2 3) You must commit to requiring your workshop participants to purchase
a book for the workshop. If you purchase them wholesale and resell them, then you keep most of the profit-
They cannot fully grasp the concepts in the course, without a copy of the book to study!

You decide whether the cost of the book is included in your workshop fees, or if you will sell them seperately at the time of the workshop!


We accept paypal, checks and MOs, and of course will send the first round of Assignments and your
Copy of She Births as soon as the payment clears!

*Refund Policy: Full Refunds are only issued if requested BEFORE the initial packet is sent.
Partial Refunds are only issued in special circumstances, and are reviewed on an individual basis.
