She Births® loves to hear your birth stories. It brings so much joy to the team and we feel so grateful to be a part of your birthing education. Here is a quick Australian birth story from She Births® mama Louise and her birth of her baby girl Amelia.
I just wanted to introduce you to little Amelia Deia Rea. She arrived on Sunday 28th June and we love her to bits. The birth was incredible!
A lovely day was had on that Saturday with a long walk along the beach in Mosman. I had slight period pains which I had been having for a few days. Then we went home and made the famous eggplant parmigiana and watched a funny movie, went to bed, had a kiss. Instantly my waters broke at 11 pm. I went from no contractions straight into established labour, no first stage at all which made for an interesting car journey 🙂
We arrived at the hospital and I was fully dilated, we then had two hours of pushing and she arrived. All in all, it was 4 hours from start to finish. We put the incredibly quick labour down to not eating any sugar and gluten, doing spinning babies each day and of course all the amazing tools we learnt on the She Births® course so we just wanted to say a huge THANKS for the education you provided us with we couldn’t have wished for a better experience.
Much love, Alex, Louise and Amelia
