About The Weekend Course
Your Educator: Our antenatal classes are run by Nadine Richardson, Founder of She Births®, and a team of passionate Certified Educators, who also work as highly skilled Midwives or Doulas.

When To Book: We recommend that you book to attend a course as early as possible between 22-36 weeks gestation is ideal. We want to give you and your partner lots of time to put into practice all you have learnt, plus have a more relaxed pregnancy.
Group Sizes: Spaces are limited, especially in our regional spaces, so please register as soon as possible. We keep our group sizes small so that you benefit from an intimate environment with plenty of time for questions but also big enough for you to meet and mingle with other awesome families. Nichola Kinnane
The birth of your baby is one of the first experiences you will have working together as a family, and the resources you draw on and how you negotiate and support each other can be an empowering and beautiful experience.
I am honoured to share the She Births® program which offers you all the tools that you will need to navigate your birth experience. The knowledge you gain at She Births® will empower you to negotiate internal and external challenges, and will enable you to connect and communicate effectively so that you can create a beautiful birth experience, no matter what unfolds.
Working as a doula I have seen how each couple’s journey is unique. I am constantly in awe of the strength women have when birthing their babies, and I am moved by the tenderness and love that comes from the partners and support team. Together we will demystify birth, explore the physiological process as well as the transformative process, and enable you to work with your body and your team you can have a positive and safe experience.
I moved from Sydney to the Mid North coast a few years ago with my family for a change of pace and have been enjoying working and building community in Newcastle. I now have a balance between Newcastle city/beach life and retreat/country life which is the best of both worlds and the kids can enjoy exploring nature and the benefits of being in the city. I love the beach, yoga and exploring new eateries now things have opened up post covid. I am passionate about serving women and providing education to those who would not be typically be able to access supports due to systemic disadvantage.
Qualifications:

Course Location: Base Health and Community in Newcastle
The Base Health and Community aims to promote positive outcomes for clients and the community, through a commitment to base values of connection, belonging, adaptation and community. More info on Base Health location here.
The space is light and airy and classes are intimate which ensures everyone has their own space to safely move around and be comfortable.
During breaks there are various areas to use – including a light filled courtyard.
Adequate free parking in surrounding streets, kitchen facilities and amenities.
There are lots of accommodation options closeby to join for a Babymoon too!
