PRIVATE PROGRAMS & BIRTH MENTORING
The perfect way for busy couples to prepare for childbirth!
A private course is taught over 8 hours face to face and usually broken into 2 classes of 4 hours each. Availability varies depending on the Educator.
To arrange a private course or mentoring with founder Nadine Richardson please contact our office directly to discuss: 1300 101 743 (SHE) or email: [email protected]. To arrange a private course or mentoring with one of our Certified She Births® Educators please complete the registration form and we will be in touch.
A private course or mentoring session allows couples to ask specific questions about their birth and be able to work with their individual needs, at a time that suits them.
An intensive She Births® course can be conducted in 2 sessions of 4hrs. The same content of our face-to-face group courses is taught, however couples are asked to watch our She Births® videos at home prior. All private couples receive the Essential Resource Package as per group courses.
The basic Private She Births® program with our Certified Educators is charged at $995 inc. GST per couple. A private program with the creator of She Births®, Nadine Richardson is only available upon request – POA. A quick check-in consult closer to your due date is often chosen by couples, can be scheduled face to face or on Skype and is charged separately.
Please complete the registration form with your preferred dates and Educator of choice. Once dates are confirmed with your Educator, you can pay a deposit plus balance the week prior. Resources are emailed to you upon payment so that videos and other materials can be watched in preparation for your course.

Ideal for couples or mums in preparation for their second or third birth or as an alternative to attending a Refresher She Births® Course.
A mentoring session can also be the perfect adjunct to completing the She Births® Online Program so that your partner can practice all the practical She Births® tools for birth like massage, acupressure, rebozo and more. If you need to plan for a Family Centred & Immune Supportive Caesarean Section then a 2hr mentoring session is also ideal.
Mentoring Sessions can be booked directly with an Educator of your choice through their Bio pages. They are charged between $80 – $100 per hr depending on the region. Mentoring sessions with Nadine Richardson are available in Bondi or via Skype – POA.
A minimum 2 hr booking is required.
Similar to a Mentoring Session, our Refresher program is available to couples who have attended She Births® previously. Ideal for Mums and partner who would like to reconnect with each other, rehearse all of the massage, breathing, yoga and acupressure techniques as well as prepare consciously for their next birth.
Some couples choose to attend the full She Births® Weekend Course with Nadine at half price and this is recommended if your first birth was complicated or you are now preparing for a VBAC. Other couples may attend half the weekend course in consultation with Nadine prior, at a quarter of the price. If you would prefer to prepare privately or have limited time then a Mentoring Session could work too.
BIRTH DEBRIEFING SESSIONS
These sessions are available for mums or couples who have unresolved questions about the unfolding of their birth experiences.
Sometimes mums feel trauma, sadness, grief or shame when birth did not go to plan or when things changed dramatically or quickly. Although we plan for this as best we can at She Births®, it is important to acknowledge, process and feel content with your birth experience postpartum.
After de-briefing with your caregivers unresolved feelings may still be present. Even challenges experienced early postpartum with breastfeeding or family issues continue to be carried within our psyche and in our relationships with ourselves, our children and our partners. Indeed, postpartum depression, although deeply entwined with our genetics and dramatic endocrine changes, is also linked to our experience of birth and the great change in identity as a woman. It is possible to understand, to heal and feel free with the right support and presence.
Those who are unprepared for birth can display symptoms of PTSD, including aggression, hypervigilance and detachment.

Our simple download takes you through the BMJ & Midwifery Journal papers step-by-step.
“She Births® prepares women with more realistic ideas of what to expect during labour” – Jessica Turner, 10 Eyewitness News
The course has been recognised by the British Medical Journal after the 2016 study showed a 65% reduction in epidural rates and a 44% reduction in caesareans.
What if I need to change course dates?
What if I need to cancel?
If there is a medical emergency (providing a doctor’s certificate) and if spaces are available you may be able to transfer to another course date.
You can also transfer the $697 towards a Private Program with your Educator – and pay the outstanding balance of approx. $300.
If you need to change or cancel the group course because of a scheduled c-section, premature labour or hospital admission then course fees are transferred to usage of the Online Course plus a Private Mentoring Session with your Educator face to face or on Skype.
A transfer to the Online Course plus a Belly Belt/Rebozo package is another alternative if the Educator is unable to schedule a Mentoring Session. Please remember that we need to cover our administration time and will charge accordingly.
What if I am not bringing my partner to the course?
If you are a single mum please contact us directly to see if we can arrange a private Solo Mums course with others. We need 2 – 3 mums to make this happen.
Do I need to do the hospital antenatal course as well or any other type of course?
We highly recommended that you take a tour of your hospital and attend any talks they offer on early parenting, bathing, breastfeeding. There is also Dr Howard Chilton’s (neonatologist) at The Royal Hospital for Women, Sydney offered for free on Thursdays.
What unique methods does She Births® use?
She Births® also uses a deep relaxation method created by Nadine Richardson called; Body Mind Integration Techniques (BMIT). The origins of BMIT are found in the ancient practice of yoga nidra, which is a yogic method for aligning with the highest truth or in modern terms, subconscious mind change.
BMIT is a body based relaxation and hypnosis style process. It is unique from other forms of hypnosis because it is based on very deep physical connection and encourages our 4th state of awareness, transcendence. Nadine has practiced and taught yoga for over 20 years and created the unique She Births® visualisations to help women overcome their fears of giving birth and to enable them to stay ‘within their bodies’ throughout birth.
As well as teaching BMIT we also encourage women to actively embrace the sensations of labour using specific movement and breath work that will increase the bodies natural endorphins, ie. pain killers.
When is the best time to book?
What if I need to have a caesarean?
What if I have a low lying placenta at my first scan - should I still register?
It is often the second or third and sometimes even a scan after 35 weeks that is the deciding factor for your birth. It is important to remember that the majority – in fact over 90% of placentas move up and out of the way for a vaginal birth, because the lowest quadrant of your uterus grows at the very end of pregnancy and draws it away from the cervix.
Don’t miss out on She Births! We can help you and your partner be fully prepared for your birth experience, however it unfolds. Please ask your She Births® Educator for the specific yoga postures and techniques to avoid, and those that will encourage the movement upwards of your placenta. We have huge success with this over the last 10 years.
What if I can only attend the course around 36 weeks pregnant - should I still come?
What if I have already done another birthing course?
