My strong passion for the world of birth, pregnancy and women’s health started quite young, growing up in a family full of strong inspiring women. This passion led me to study midwifery straight out of school. I very quickly feel in love with caring for women, their families and babies in the most important time in their lives.
I worked as a midwifery group practice midwife for 4 years until I became a mum myself. I absolutely loved this continuity model of midwifery, I love supporting women and their family through what is the most special/important time in their lives.
I now have the privilege and joy of sharing She Births®, to help women in my community create their own unique beautiful birth experiences and parenthood journey. To give women the confidence to be involved in their own pregnancy care and decrease the ever increasing medicalisation of birth. I feel like I can share this beautiful course from the heart through my own midwifery, pregnancy, birth and motherhood journey.

Working as a dedicated midwife since 2010, I continue to marvel at the intricacies of the human body. With a passion for education, and the desire to help others, I am so excited to be able to bring She Births® to the women and couples of Geelong, the Bellarine Peninsula, and the Surf Coast.
Working as a midwife has given me great insight into the power of knowledge. Quality childbirth education is absolutely key in order to experience a positive and empowering birth.
Pregnancy, childbirth, and parenthood is often a daunting experience for many. Through the She Births® Weekend course, I endeavour to provide women and their partners with all the tools necessary to create a beautiful birth, no matter what unfolds.
I feel incredibly honoured to have been a part of so many births within the Geelong area already, and I can’t wait to share She Births® with even more of you.
If ever there was a time to pause and rejuvenate your mind, body and spirit it’s now, during pregnancy.
Why not make the most of this special time as a family of two (soon to be three), and extend your She Births® Weekend Course into a Babymoon in the breathtaking Bellarine Peninsula.
Choose from an idyllic stay by the ocean in Queenscliff or Point Lonsdale. Even Ocean Grove, Barwon Heads and Portarlington are just 15 minutes away from our venue!
Simply put, a babymoon is a long weekend of indulgence and blissful timeout, to celebrate your relationship as you prepare for the arrival of your baby.
Of course, you can always stay at a few favourites like Lon Retreat & Spa or The Nest luxury escape or perhaps you could go for something more traditional and in the heart of Queenscliff, like The Vue Grand or Athelstane House?
Here is a collection of our favourite Airbnb listings in the Bellarine Pensinsula area:

Take a walk around its Historic Forte or its beautiful marina where you can walk up the 40 metre observation tower for spectacular views of Port Phillip bay, Swan bay and all the way over the rip to Mornington Peninsula.
Swim, swim swim. Take a boat ride in Port phillip bay snorkling with the Dolphins and Seals – see if they sense your pregnant belly. There are so many beautiful beaches, bays and rivers. Address: Uniting Church Queenscliff – 85 Hesse Street, Queenscliff, Victoria
The course venue is located in the Bay room of the Queenscliff Uniting Church. This is centrally located in the heart of the main street of Queenscliff. This space is the hub of the Queenscliff community where they hold many festivals, art exhibitions, cultural nights and a very cute Op shop.
Its a big, comfortable space with heating and cooling and a big carpeted space for comfortable floor work. Its light-filled with big windows at back of the room looking out onto the community lavender (or sometimes rosemary or sunflowers) labrynth garden.
It’s a 2 min stroll to beautiful cafes and restaurants for our lunch break and even (as i have done many times in the past) a 2 min walk to the beautiful foreshore and bay for a sneaky swim or paddle.
A beautiful relaxed environment to attend the She Births® course and prepare for your birth. There is room to spread out and create as much ‘social distance’ as you like.

I can’t recommend this course enough! We left feeling so much more prepared.
Nichola was a superb teacher. She really helped my partner understand how he could help
Brilliant course. We enrolled in the weekend birth course to prepare us for the birth of our second child.
She Births® reframed the whole birth concept for me - it reframed “pain” in context of what my body would be doing which resonated with me. Together with practical techniques to use, I finished the course looking forward to my birth experience.
