Xavier’s Birth – All the tools worked

Just a short note to let you know that bub Xavier Harrison Hogarth entered the world last Thurs 2 December at 5.35pm. He is a healthy bub weighing in at 3.7kgs and is just beautiful. He is currently sound asleep in our lounge room and loves being in the world.

I am well, had a natural delivery. I stayed at home from 9pm Wed until 1pm Thurs labouring and using all the techniques I learnt from shebirths. I ended up using the bath, swiss ball, music, heaps of visualisations and going for walks and ended up at the hospital 6-7cm dilated. It was intense but with all the techniques I managed a great first labour. The doctor was really impressed and said that I did so well throughout the labour with no tearing. My tummy has already gone down and I feel ‘almost’ normal again. I actually miss him inside me but so happy he is out and has joined our family.

I can’t thank you enough! You made all the difference to my labour and I will definitely be back down to yoga and even baby yoga next year. Thank you for all your support and knowledge over the weekend course and in the yoga classes. I will definitely miss my monday morning class with you. I am staying close to home this month but will be down in January for you to meet Xavier.

I hope you are well and have a lovely break over xmas. Please let the girls know in yoga and pass on my well wishes if you can.

Lots of love,
Jen, Anth and Xavier
