They say the birthing process also transitions you from woman to mother. I can attest to having Lach there birthing with me, every step of the way… a generous, dedicated, hands-on dad was born that night too. We all transformed!

How did you prepare for birth?
I did the She Births® course with my partner Lach and that’s all we needed!
How did you bring your baby into the world?
Together! He supported me through the whole experience. I was able to have a successful vaginal birth… I laboured/birthed in the squat position with Lach holding me up when necessary.
Who supported you throughout the birth?
Lachlan, a midwife and my OB.
What was the most challenging part of the birth?
Realising I was in transition.
What most helped you through the birth experience?
Having the technique to try though each stage. Having Lach on the same page as me, supporting me through every step.
Was there anything that surprised you on the day?
How calm we both were. Once things got going with my dilation, how quickly it all happened
